It was a right of historic fashion drama in the garden. La Toussaint is a traditional Catholic rite celebrated in the month of November to remember the dead. DCCA paid a retrospective tribute to Kofi Ansah, Christian Dior, Alexander Mcqueen, Gianni Versace and Coco Chanel with the beautiful fashion presentation in the garden by showcasing creatively aesthetic work of art, designed by DCCA dreamians, reflecting the legacy and style of the celebrated fashion legends. The warm welcome given by the Honcho of DCCA, Dr. Clement Asemnyra gave the kick-off of the eventful show produced like a concert with Scenography well created in the garden. The honcho expressed ; “These are individuals whose talents and passion are known by the world. Their designs are worn and wanted by the rich and their collections are showcased by the most beautiful models across the globe.

Students showcased team after team intriguing well crafted signature pieces to celebrate the dead. This installation in the garden by DCCA has set a standard in relation to fashion events in Ghana. We therefore believe creativity, innovation and technicity defines the DNA of DCCA.

La Toussaint has been an academic presentation which had examiners; Kweku Kyere (a renowned fashion designer and illustrator), Aretha Yorke Sabeng (Business Manager for makeup at Maybelline New York – West Africa) and Mandy Combarieu (a renowned international fashion stylist) who assessed the students based on aesthetics (art of styling, makeup and hair and originality of inspiration).

The event was graced by celebrities, fashion designers and influencers, beauty queens, business leaders and the media. We look forward to the graduate show of these students who put together these beautiful concepts by celebrating the dead.
